Alison draws her design inspiration for her contemporary jewellery pieces from the forms and details found in nature and 20th century art, adding her own minimalist twist. She aims to create versatile and wearable pieces that will stand the test of time in terms of both craftsmanship and fashion.
Based in Henfield, West Sussex, where she has her own studio, Alison has been making jewellery for the past twelve years. After a career working mainly in higher education and inspired by studying an Art and Design History masters degree, Alison spent time perfecting her traditional metal working skills by taking evening classes followed by one-to-one tuition with a traditional trade jeweller. With this knowledge, she has continued to develop her learning, acquiring further skills and techniques such as casting and acid etching to create surface pattern.
Great thought goes into the design and creation of every piece of jewellery Alison produces, with an emphasis on quality of craftsmanship and finish. A range of precious and semi-precious gemstones enhance many of her pieces, carefully sourced from respected trade suppliers. All silver items are hallmarked* by the London Assay office with Alison’s unique ‘ADC’ maker’s mark, assuring the high quality of materials.
If you are interested in having a piece of jewellery made to order, Alison is happy to talk through your ideas with you via email, phone or, if local, in person.
