Cherry is a fine artist who was born and raised in Horsham, Sussex. Prior to becoming a professional artist, she owned an independent fashion shop in the 70’s. Eventually, once her children became more independent in the late 90’s, Cherry found time to study art as a mature student.
Over the years Cherry has attended regular workshops and short courses to keep her inspired and learning new techniques. Keen followers know Cherry never fails to surprise with new styles and subject matters. Those unacquainted with her work are often amazed that such differing pieces could be produced by the same artist.
Cherry has a keen following for her dancers, landscapes, Mediterranean seascapes and of course her infamous seagulls, which have been shipped all over the globe.
Cherry now sells prints and merchandise, such as umbrellas, wrapping paper and greeting cards online, with her most popular printed work stocked in independent boutiques.
Jumping ahead to the present day; Cherry regularly exhibits at galleries, museums and art events across the UK.
Alongside her key genres, Cherry has always welcomed commissions; from family portraits, to grand interior murals – she loves taking on a challenge, and exceeding the expectations of those who approach her.
