David is a self taught artist based in Horsham, West Sussex. His work is inspired by the Sussex/Surrey landscape and coast and travels throughout Europe.
David paints semi-abstract sea and landscapes in oils, building an atmosphere through texture and mark making without reference to any specific point of place, preferring the viewer to read into the work and allow it to take them on a journey of imagination and discovery with echoes of landscapes and memories of nature.
