Esther Collins – Textile Vessel Workshop

Make a Naturally Inspired Textile Vessel at the Sussex Prairie Gardens Take inspiration from the beautiful plants and flowers in the unique setting of the Sussex Prairie Gardens! Using natural textures and colours as your inspiration, learn how to incorporate mixed media such as mulberry bark, foils and paint with fabric, to make a beautiful and unique hand stitched 3D vessel or container. Hand embroider and embellish using a range of natural media such as silk cocoons and carrier rods, beads and textured wools in this fun and experimental two-day workshop. Price includes all materials, with lots of interesting fibres and textures to play with and free entry to the gardens. You are welcome to stay as long as you like and enjoy the beautiful plants and coffee shop in this wonderful setting!
