West Sussex based artist Karina gained her art foundation at Eastbourne Art School and then graduated with a joint Honours degree in Art in a Community Context & The History of the English Language from RIHE University of Surrey specialising in stained glass & mosaics and phonetics, she then went on to do a post-graduate second degree in business (MBA).
Karina who grew up on the Sussex coast and loves the beach also likes to collect sea glass in her spare time as both her mother and grandmother did (also artists). Her other hobbies include life drawing, playing the piano busker style and West Sussex walks. Combining being a foodie and a yoga teacher she also enjoys developing vegetarian recipes alongside personalised yoga programs.
She finds relaxation painting in the sunshine from her home studio on a 17th century farm where she lives with her husband, cat and three lively children near the South Downs National Park and finds inspiration creating vibrant paintings which capture the sunlight, shadows, colour and movement of the Sussex coast, countryside and flowers using acrylic on canvas.
