Hi, my name is Kevin, I am 59 years old and I am an accidental artist.
A few years ago, while recovering from a serious illness, I started to paint and took great pleasure in doing so.
I was surprised to find that many other people liked what I did and began to sell my work.
I have no formal art training, and my work is spontaneous, intuitive and unconventuional.
Drawing upon a lifelong passion for sci-fi literature, cinema, TV and comic books, I create stylised portraits of iconic characters and situations, and abstract futuristic landscapes and cityscapes.
I paint with acrylic and like to add unusual mixed media, such as metal, plastic, electronic components and watch parts, sometimes incorporating 3D features in order to add a unique different perspective to a usually flat art form.
