Lucy studied Fine Art at Cumbria College of Art and Design, graduating in 1998.
During this time she developed a love for oil painting, finding much inspiration in the depth and richness of the colours and the softness of the paint.
Originally from Arundel, Lucy has lived in Horsham with her husband and children for 20 years.
She works with oils on canvas, taking inspiration from time spent in the Sussex countryside and coast with her family.
The landscapes of the South Downs provide endless amounts of inspiration from which to work.
Lucy’s paintings evolve from the original source of inspiration to become more abstract as she works with the paint and canvass to explore colour, form and softness in her work
