Vicky Glyn is a textile artist making mainly contemporary wall hangings, but also cushions throws and table mats.
The key qualities of her work are the use of exciting colour schemes, using pattern and geometric forms. Her works seem to glow with an inner light as if back-lit.
Her works often have a spiritual quality, and she says she would like each piece to contain a door into the next world somehow.
She is a member of the artists’ network, Horsham Artists, and has a studio in a converted mill in Horsham, Sussex. She has been a member of the Christian Arts Society for many years.
Vicky has exhibited her art in shows in the UK and overseas including Dubai and in Deptford X Festival. Her work was selected and shown at the V&A Museum. She has also had solo exhibitions of her wall hangings at The Framers’ Gallery in London’s West End, and at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, and also in hospitals. She has had commissions for clients in the UK, Venice and Scandinavia.
